We help parents who are struggling with raising their kids, no matter what the age. We help teens and kids struggling with school issues—academics, peer relationships, values clarification, bullying, etc..

We help couples with communication and healthy ways of resolving conflict… We help people recovering from trauma and abuse histories... We help people with the skills they need to deal with life’s challenges, and get their lives under control.

We are here for help.

Our office is located off US Hwy 281 N — we are north of the Johnson Ranch subdivision and south of Hwy 46. We are located on the east side of the Highway. We share a fence line with H L Chapman Pipeline Contractors. When you see their signs, pull onto the shoulder. We are the next driveway. (Our signage is not great due to the planned changes TXDOT is planning for Hwy 281 N in our area. )

Whatever it is that brought you to seek therapy, we want you to know we will treat you and what you share with the utmost respect and confidentiality. If you have any questions about confidentiality related issues, please call us and ask to speak with one of our clinicians, we will be happy to explain this to you.

Affordable

Here at Smithson Valley Counseling Center we believe that counseling should be accessible to everyone, and affordability should not prevent someone from receiving services. We have therapists that are in-network with some insurance panels, and we are open to being added to more panels. And for those with no insurance coverage, we offer sliding scale rates. We do what we can to serve our community. If we can’t help, we try to have other referral options available.
